Trauma, relationships, and safety

Discussions of trauma, domestic violence, parenting, attachment, and nervous system responses cannot account for every person or situation. General safety information is not an individualized safety plan. Decisions about an unsafe relationship can carry risks; a qualified local advocate can help you consider options that fit your circumstances. No book, framework, resource, or suggested action can guarantee safety, healing, or a particular outcome.
